Working Together

What It’s Like to Plan With Me

From the first conversation through your return home, my goal is to make the planning process clearer, easier and more enjoyable.

No. My vacation planning services are provided at no additional cost to you.

I earn a commission from travel suppliers, and that commission is typically already built into the price whether you book directly or work with a travel advisor.

Booking online gives you options. Working with a travel advisor gives you guidance.

I help you compare choices, avoid common mistakes, understand important differences and choose options that fit your travel style and priorities.

You also have someone familiar with your vacation who can answer questions and help guide you if something unexpected happens.

North Tide Travel specializes in:

  • Ocean cruises
  • Florida vacations
  • Theme park vacations
  • Guided tours
  • Custom vacations
  • Couples and family travel
  • Trips for friends and small groups traveling together

Absolutely. Some clients come to me with a destination, resort or cruise already in mind.

I can help compare the available options, make sure the trip fits what you are looking for and organize the details into a complete vacation plan.

Yes. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

We will talk about your budget, interests, travel style, preferred dates and priorities. From there, I can help narrow the possibilities and recommend destinations that fit what you are looking for.

Booking & Planning

Timing, Payments and Trip Details

Booking early usually provides the best selection, but shorter planning timelines are often possible too.

While I can often help plan vacations on much shorter notice, I generally recommend booking within these timeframes for the best selection, pricing and availability.

Vacation Type Recommended Booking Window
Ocean Cruises 6–18 months
Alaska Cruises 9–18 months
Europe Vacations 6–12 months
Disney Vacations 6–12 months
Florida Vacations 4–8 months
Caribbean Vacations 4–10 months
Holiday and School Break Travel 9–18 months

These are recommendations, not requirements. Last-minute vacations are absolutely possible depending on availability, and certain trips can be planned within a much shorter timeframe.

If you are thinking about traveling, even if your departure is only a few weeks away, it is still worth reaching out to see what is available.

Not necessarily. Booking early usually gives you more choices, but many wonderful vacations can still be planned on shorter notice.

Availability changes regularly, so tell me your dates, budget and priorities and we will see what is possible.

Yes. I can assist with flights as part of your vacation planning when the itinerary and supplier allow it.

In some cases, booking airfare directly with the airline may be the better option. If so, I will explain why and help make sure the flight schedule works with the rest of your vacation.

In many cases, yes. Most cruises, resorts and vacation packages require a deposit, with the remaining balance due closer to departure.

Payment schedules vary by supplier, and I will clearly explain the deposit, final-payment date and any cancellation terms before you book.

Yes. I strongly recommend considering travel protection for most vacations.

Depending on the plan, coverage may help with certain trip cancellations, interruptions, delays, lost baggage or medical situations.

I will provide the available options so you can review the coverage and decide what is right for you.

While You’re Traveling

Preparing You for the Journey

You will leave home knowing what to expect, where to find your information and how to reach out when you need help.

Yes. Before departure, you will receive the important information and documents needed for your vacation.

Depending on the trip, this may also include reminders, packing suggestions, check-in instructions, destination tips and other helpful details.

Absolutely. I love helping travelers discover memorable restaurants, local experiences, hidden gems and activities that fit their interests.

The amount of additional planning included will depend on the type of vacation, but I will always share useful recommendations whenever I can.

If something unexpected happens, you will have someone familiar with your trip who can help guide you through the next steps.

Supplier policies and availability will still apply, but you will not have to begin the conversation from scratch with someone who knows nothing about your vacation.

For urgent emergencies involving health or personal safety, you should always contact local emergency services first.

After You Return

Welcome Home

Your vacation may be over, but our relationship does not end when you unpack your suitcase.

Yes! Hearing what you loved, what surprised you and what you would do differently helps me get to know your travel style even better.

Your feedback also helps me continue improving the recommendations I provide to future travelers.

I would love that. With your permission, I may feature your photos or travel story on the North Tide Travel website or business pages.

Real client experiences help inspire other travelers and allow me to celebrate the memories we helped create together.

Please do. Reviews help future travelers feel confident choosing North Tide Travel.

They are also one of the most meaningful ways to support and help grow my small business.

North Tide Travel values returning travelers and client referrals.

Benefits may vary based on the trip, supplier and current program offers, but I am always grateful when clients return or introduce me to friends and family who are ready to travel.
